The Melk Abbey

After a beautiful morning in Durnstein and a cruise through the Wachau Valley, the wine growing region in Austria, we reached the town of Melk. We walked from the ship through the historic town to the Melk Abbey where we learned about the Benedictine Monks who established and maintain the functioning abbey.
